Visiting Gothenburg

Gothenburg, Sweden's second largest city and major port offers the visitor many historic sights, museums, cultural events and good shopping. Scandinavia's largest amusement park, Liseberg, is only minutes away from the actual centre of the city. The city has around half a million inhabitants.

Starting just south of Gothenburg, a beautiful archipelago, with numerous small fishing villages, stretches all the way up to Norway.

Gothenburg & Co has the task of marketing and assisting in the development of Gothenburg as a city for tourism, meetings and events.
This task also includes developing the city as an environment where business and knowledge can flourish. The work of Gothenburg & Co is intended to make Gothenburg one of Europe’s most attractive and people-friendly metropolitan areas in which to live and work, and to visit. This is being achieved through broad collaboration between authorities, municipal companies and administrations, industry, organisations and politicians.
